Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana extended till end of the november i.e deepawali & chhath puja. Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today 4.00 PM address the nation through video conference from Prime Minister Office, says extension of PMGKAY.

PM at press conference noted that commencement of rainy season most of the work take place in the agriculture sector. Also, several festival take place i.e Guru Purnima, Rakshabandhan, Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Dussehra, Deepawali, Chhath Puja.

Through this scheme provided 5 KG free wheat/ rice to more than 80 crore people to each member of the family along with 1 KG free whole chana per family per month.

The prime minister says government will spend more than 90,000 crore towards the extension of the scheme. If the amount spent towards it in the previous three months is added together a total amount 1.5 lakh crore. Also at press conference PM credits hardworking farmers and honest taxpayers for making the scheme is making possible

At today press conference PM address unlock 2. The unlock 2 coincides with the weather which results in several aliments. Also, PM asked everyone to take care of their health, follow the regulations with the same seriousness as during lockdown, especially in the containment zones.
