Operation Kaveri: 3rd Batch Of 135 Indian Passengers Reaches Saudi Arabia

The second IAF C-130J aircraft, carrying another 135 trapped Indians, left the conflict-torn Sudan on Wednesday, and has now arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As the first IAF C-130J arrived at Jeddah airport earlier today, Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan greeted the second group of the 148 evacuated Indians.

The Ministry of External Affairs tweeted earlier on Wednesday that 121 passengers boarded the IAF C-130J. 148 Indians were reportedly evacuated in the second batch, according to a later tweet from the MoS MEA. “First IAF C-130J aircraft under #OperationKaveri from Port Sudan carrying 148 Indians landed in Jeddah,” wrote MoS MEA V Muraleedharan on Twitter.
